Film & Television App Performance in Central America: Q2 2025

In the second quarter of 2025, the film and television app market in Central America showed varied performance across the top five applications. According to data from Sensor Tower, these apps exhibited interesting trends in downloads and active user metrics on the unified platform.

Cinépolis Go saw a dynamic quarter with weekly downloads peaking at approximately 900K in late April. Despite a decline towards the end of the quarter, the app maintained a strong presence with active users climbing from 826K to over 6.3M by the end of June.

The app Cinépolis experienced fluctuations in downloads, reaching a high of 201K in mid-May. However, its active user base showed a downward trend, decreasing from 3.5M at the start of April to 741K by the end of June.

Cinepolis El Salvador maintained a modest download rate, with a peak of around 5.6K in mid-May. Despite lower numbers compared to its counterparts, it remained a consistent performer in the region.

A newcomer, Cinepolis Costa Rica, showed promising initial download figures, starting with 10.8K and rising to nearly 14.8K by the end of its first week of availability.

Finally, TodayTix – Broadway Tickets maintained a steady download rate throughout the quarter, ending with a peak of 1.2K in the last week of June. Active users remained relatively stable, fluctuating slightly but ending the quarter with 3.3K.
